Abstract
► The CTAT-water system exhibits a nematic phase made up of rod-like micelles. ► The nematic phase transforms into a hexagonal phase at higher surfactant concentrations. ► Structural details of the cylindrical micelles have been obtained from detailed analysis of the SAXS data. ► These results clarify some of the discrepancies present in earlier studies of the phase behavior of this system.
