Abstract
⺠The CTAT-water system exhibits a nematic phase made up of rod-like micelles. ⺠The nematic phase transforms into a hexagonal phase at higher surfactant concentrations. ⺠Structural details of the cylindrical micelles have been obtained from detailed analysis of the SAXS data. ⺠These results clarify some of the discrepancies present in earlier studies of the phase behavior of this system.
