Abstract
⺠Developed a hydrometallurgical process to recover all the metals from spent Ni-Cd batteries. ⺠Cd was selectively extracted by D2EHPA and stripped with dilute H2SO4. ⺠Regenerated solvent showed good hydrolytic stability and extraction efficiency on recycling. ⺠Pure metals can be produced without any metallic losses unlike pyrometallurgical processes.
