Abstract
⺠The activity of trypsin was studied in ionic liquid (IL) media. ⺠Trypsin activity in ILs was studied in both free and immobilized forms. ⺠Activity studies were performed in manual and automated modes. ⺠bmim [BF4] seemed to be a promising solvent for the enzymatic synthesis of peptides. ⺠Immobilized trypsin exhibited enhanced catalytic efficiency in IL media.
