Abstract
âºProperties of geminis with oxyethylated head group are elucidated. âºThe hydrogen bonds favor micellization and the solubilization of reagents. âºThe correlation between the rate of esters hydrolysis and their solubility occurs. âºThe catalytic effect of hydrolysis reached three orders of magnitude is observed. âºCatalysis by geminis occurs within extremely low concentration range.
