Abstract
⺠The strongest band of nOCAC molecules can be assigned as Ï â Ï* transitions. ⺠Red-shift of nOCAC molecules indicates a weak exciton coupling of chromophores. ⺠No n â Ï* transition occurs due to the rigidity of the ring system of the molecules. ⺠The HOMO, LUMO, and Eg values have been found to be independent of solvent effect.
