Abstract
⺠Effect of alcohols on aqueous solution behavior of three PEO-PPO-PEO block copolymers was investigated. ⺠The short chain alcohols favor demicellization, increase CP and CMT while higher chain alcohols show the opposite behavior. ⺠The DLS and viscosity results showed micelle growth for higher alcohols which remain in the palisade layer of micelles. ⺠The results are interpreted in terms of hydrogen bonding and hydrophobic hydration.
