Abstract
► Electrochemical and biological behaviors of Yb3+ in the presence of DNA were studied. ► The interaction between Yb3+ ion and ss-DNA was studied at two pHs. ► The results were confirmed by spectroscopic method. ► Best structure of new complex in two pHs was proposed by computational method.
