Abstract
⺠The excess molar isentropic compressibilities ÎSE were calculated. ⺠Mixtures of 1,2-ethanediol with 1-butanol, or 1-hexanol, show ÎSE < 0 over the whole composition and temperature range. ⺠For mixtures of 1,2-ethanediol with 1-octanol, the s-shaped ÎSE dependencies are observed. ⺠The rigidity in mixtures under test increases from 1-octanol to 1-butanol. ⺠In all cases the non-ideality increases with increasing temperature.
