Abstract
⺠Spectral properties of 5-aminoquinoline in acetonitrile:water mixture are reported. ⺠Fluorescence characteristics are sensitive to hydrogen bond donating capability of the solvent. ⺠Hydrogen bonding appears to be responsible for quenching in the presence of water.
