Abstract
⺠The aggregation of 1-dodecyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride ionic liquid in methanol-water mixed solvent was studied for the first time. ⺠The dependency of miccelization parameters on solvent composition was explained by linear salvation free energy relationship analysis. ⺠A comparison was made between the miccelization parameters of the ionic liquid and a surfactant of the same aliphatic chain.
