Abstract
Viscosities at 298.15, 308.15, and 318.15Â K and atmospheric pressure for binary liquid mixtures of cyclopentane with 1-propanol, 1-pentanol, and 1-heptanol over the whole composition range have been measured as a function of composition using an Ubbelohde viscometer. The deviations in viscosity and excess energy of activation for viscous flow have been calculated from experimental data. Different correlations were used to correlate the viscosity data. Furthermore, a number of approximations used to obtain deviation in viscosities have been analysed.
