Abstract
ⶠWe followed the thermal unfolding of lysozyme in two different environments. ⶠIn both systems, the enzyme undergoes a cooperative two-state unfolding. ⶠA reduced stability of the folded state was revealed on ethanol addition. ⶠThe same unfolding mechanism was observed in the two solvents. ⶠExperimental findings did not indicate the occurrence of intermediate formation.
