Abstract
Densities, speeds of sound and refractive indices for the binary mixture of dibutyl ether and 1-chlorobutane have been determined at atmospheric pressure and at the temperature range from 283.15Â K to 313.15Â K. Excess volumes, excess isentropic compressibilities and refractive index deviations have been calculated from the experimental data and fitted by the Redlich-Kister equation. Excess volumes and isentropic compressibilities are negative over the whole composition range while refractive index deviations are positive.
