Abstract
A simple model for amphiphilic molecules is sufficient to predict self-assembly into a large variety of associates in aqueous surfactant solutions. By means of off-lattice Monte Carlo simulations, the finite size effect on the critical micelle concentration is discussed. We report on self-assembling into plate-like micelles, helical fibres, and vesicles, which can be subjected to an osmotic pressure.
