Abstract
Densities of the solutions of manganese (II) and zinc (II) perchlorates in anhydrous methanol have been measured at TÂ =Â (283.15, 288.15, 293.15, 298.15, 303.15, 308.15, 313.15) K. Ultrasound velocities for the above systems have been determined at TÂ =Â 298.15Â K. From these data, the limiting apparent molar volumes and limiting apparent molar adiabatic compressibilities have been estimated. The volumetric solvation numbers, nv, and the solvation numbers evaluated from the compressibility, nc, have been calculated. The obtained results were discussed in terms of ion-solvent interactions. The existence of the high-volume intermediate shell with enhanced structure has been suggested.
