Abstract
Dielectric behavior of some mesogenic and non-mesogenic compounds is presented and discussed from the data obtained using microwave frequency 9.98Â GHz and 8.74Â GHz by applying the Higasi method. The results are compared with earlier results obtained by different methods wherever available. These studies have been carried out in dilute solutions because such studies have the advantage over pure liquids that the strong dipole-dipole interactions in dilute solution phase are greatly reduced and also permit us to study the effect of viscosity on the molecular parameters, in addition to the effect of temperature only in the case of pure liquids.
