Abstract
The dielectric properties at X band (10.74Â GHz) of nano-confined liquid thin-films of methanol, ethanol, isopropyl alcohol and cyclohexane on borosilicate glass substrates are reported here. The pores were observed to have a size distribution in the range of 5-50Â nm as observed from SEM studies. The anomalous reduction in the dielectric permittivity is attributed to the increased volume to surface ratio at these dimensions.
