Abstract
The (p, Ï, T) properties and apparent molar volumes VÏ of LiI in methanol at T = (298.15 to 398.15) K and pressures up to p = 40 MPa are reported. An empirical correlation for the densities and apparent molar volumes of lithium iodide in methanol with pressure, temperature and molality has been derived. The experiments were carried out for the solutions at molalities m = (0.08090, 0.17144, 0.34365, 0.45225, 0.72859, 1.10310 and 1.65415) mol kgâ 1 of lithium iodide.
