Abstract
The viscosities and densities of aqueous solutions of monosodium salts of the dicarboxylic acids ([(CH2]n(COOH)2, n = 0-5 and tartaric, malic, maleic, fumaric and o-phthalic) of the type NaHA were measured in the concentration range 0.02-0.1 mol dmâ 3 at 298.15 K. The equilibria existing in these solutions were considered. A modified form of the Jones-Dole equation describing the relative viscosity of solution of acidic salts was proposed. This is the first time that this type of equation for acidic salts which takes into account all equilibria occurring in the solution has been proposed.
