Abstract
The dielectric properties of ethyl acrylate, ethyl benzoate and ethyl butyrate in benzene were studied. The dielectric constants of the binary mixtures of the above three esters at various concentrations in benzene were measured at 298 K, 308 K and 318 K. The possible short-range interaction between the ester molecules were studied using Kirkwood-Frohlich correlation factor (g'). The long-range interaction between the solute molecules was studied by dipolar excess free energies (ÎF0E). The Eyring correlation parameters G and Gâ were also determined. The fluid structure of these systems is analyzed in the light of the theory. The presence of monomers and the existence of dipole-dipole interactions are identified.
