Abstract
Tracer diffusion of Cs+ ions is studied in lithium chloride, potassium chloride and sodium chloride over a concentration range of 5 Ã 10â 5 to 0.1 M using 1% agar gel medium at 25 °C. Comparison of experimental and theoretical values of tracer-diffusion coefficients shows a deviation from the theory. This is explained on account of different types of interactions occurring in the ion-gel-water system.
