Abstract
⺠High-resolution molecular spectra are interpreted based on network (graph) theory. ⺠In spectroscopic networks (SNs) energy levels are the nodes and transitions are the links. ⺠Both experimental and first-principles SNs appear to be scale free. ⺠SNs contain hubs, are robust, are “small worlds”, and have attack/error tolerance. ⺠SNs allow the design of new measurements to improve spectroscopic databases.
