Abstract
► Spectroscopy of the five low-lying electronic states (X2Π3/2, A2Δ5/2, X2Π1/2, A2Δ3/2 and B2Σ1/2+) of NiBr and NiCl that arise from the 3d9 configuration of Ni+. ► Term energies and vibrational parameters were determined for all five states. ► Periodic trends in the Nickel monohalide series examined.
