Abstract
The visible electronic spectrum of AuO has been recorded at rotational resolution using intracavity laser absorption spectroscopy. Six vibrational bandheads have been identified, and three of the bands have been analyzed and assigned as bands of a newly identified B2Σâ-X2Î 3/2 transition of AuO. The molecular parameters for the newly identified B2Σâ state are presented.
