Abstract
The millimeter-wave rotational spectra of the excited vibrational state v8 = 2 of the symmetric top molecule, CF3CN, have been recorded for Jâ³Â = 16 up to Jâ³Â = 32. The analysis indicates that â-resonance has been observed for this molecule around (k â â) = 25. The â = ±2 and â = 0 series have been assigned and the spectra analyzed to give rotational parameters including B = 2955.46351(49) MHz, Xââ = 8783.6(78) MHz, and qt+(2,2)=3.4673(20) MHz.
