Abstract
Classification curve, a 2D graphical representation of DNA sequences is given in terms of classifications of bases of nucleic acids. The new graphical representation can completely avoid loss of information in the transfer of data from a DNA sequence to its mathematical representation. Afterwards, we outline one such approach to arrive at quantification of similarities based on the graph radius, angle and relative departure associated with DNA curve, respectively. The examination of similarities/dissimilarities among the coding sequences of the first exon of β-globin gene of 11 species illustrates the utility of the approach, and one can find that the computational complexity is only O(N).
