Abstract
⺠Molecular beam experiments employed to study the dynamics of gas-organic surface collisions. ⺠Classical-trajectory simulations provided insight into gas-surface energy transfer. ⺠Uncovered the role of surface mass, density, and polarity in thermal accommodation efficiencies. ⺠Studied orientation, attractive forces, and internal energy effects in interfacial collisions. ⺠Elucidated the mechanism and kinetics for ozone oxidation of a model unsaturated organic surface.
