Abstract
⺠We review theories of low friction and adhesion at quasicrystal surfaces. ⺠Low adhesion may be explained by low density of states at the Fermi energy. ⺠Geometric, electronic, and phononic explanations have been proposed. ⺠Current theories of quasicrystal friction remain incomplete.
