Abstract
Image-potential states provide a model system to study electron scattering at surfaces. With time-, energy- and angle-resolved two-photon photoemission quasi-elastic intraband and resonant interband scattering processes can be identified and resolved. The scattering sources are related to phonons and to imperfections of the surface such as defects and steps.
