Abstract
⺠1H MAS NMR results in MCM-41 exhibit complex resonance peak structures. ⺠The peak structures redistribute significantly with increasing hydration. ⺠A model based on motion induced chemical shift averaging is proposed. ⺠Such averaging occurs as water selectively visits different hydration configurations. ⺠The model successfully simulates low hydration spectra without chemical exchange.
