Abstract

âº 1H MAS NMR results in MCM-41 exhibit complex resonance peak structures. âº The peak structures redistribute significantly with increasing hydration. âº A model based on motion induced chemical shift averaging is proposed. âº Such averaging occurs as water selectively visits different hydration configurations. âº The model successfully simulates low hydration spectra without chemical exchange.
