Abstract
⺠17O NMR parameters in crystalline aromatic acids are sensitive to intermolecular lattice interactions. ⺠17O-benzoic acid is a good probe of physisorption on silica surfaces. ⺠17O-labeled probes reveal bonding mechanisms at metal centers on titania and alumina surfaces.
