Abstract
⺠Pb adsorption has been characterized on the T-Al3(Mn,Pd) (010) approximant surface. ⺠A pseudomorphic monolayer is formed for Pb deposition at 300 K and 573 K. ⺠The formation of surface alloys and intermixing can be disregarded. ⺠The higher mobility of Pb adatoms at 573 K leads to an improved quality of the film. ⺠The sticking coefficient or the growth mode of Pb is altered above one monolayer.
