Abstract
► Bloch wave method was used to describe electron transport in crystalline solids. ► Crystal structure and coherent scattering are explicitly taken into account. ► EMDDF strongly depends on the electron emission direction and crystal structure. ► Quantum EMDDF and Monte Carlo simulated results show a pronounced difference. ► Mean escape depth is about half for a crystal as that for an amorphous solid.
