Abstract

âº Studied local effects of Si dangling bonds using UHV-STM. âº Lateral decay of the DB state is anisotropic on the Si(100) surface. âº Interactions between DBs within a DB wire lead to increased decay length. âº Interactions between adjacent DBs are also investigated. âº Experiment results strongly supported by SIESTA calculation
