Abstract
► We apply a kinetic approach to calculate light scattering by metallic nanospheroids. ► Conductivity becomes a tensor when a free electron path exceeds particle's size. ► Effect of particles' shape on the half-widths of plasmon resonances is considered. ► Nanospheroids can scatter light better than nanospheres in a broad frequency range.
