Abstract
⺠Surface states in O/Cu(332) are confined in the (111) terraces by the Cu(110)O(2x1) facets forming a quasi 1D system. ⺠Depletion of states at (110) facets is assigned as one of the scattering mechanism that results in the electron confinement. ⺠For large (111) terraces, part of photoemitted electrons conserve the parallel momentum with respect the (111) plane.
