► A drastic change of N2 emission channel is found in a steady-state NO reduction on Pd. ► Angle-resolved desorption yields direct evidence of intermediate N2O in deNOx on Pd. ► The deNOx via intermediate N2O is enhanced on Pd by hydrogen at low temperatures. ► Angle-resolved desorption examines deNOx pathways working at low temperatures.
