Abstract
⺠Molecules scattering from SAMs appear to undergo extensive thermalization. ⺠Surface collisions are highly inelastic and show substantial momentum conversion. ⺠Energy interconversion and trapping increase with the length of monolayer's molecules. ⺠No further changes in those processes are observed for monolayer's molecules with more than six carbons.
