Abstract
⺠A new method for modifying elastomer surfaces has been demonstrated. ⺠Nanostructure assisted injection molding gives elongated nail-shaped micronails. ⺠The modification elevates the water contact angle up to 88°. ⺠The modified surfaces are robust and exhibit superhydrophobicity.
