Abstract
⺠A theoretical model describing elastic-scattering effects of photoelectrons in solids. ⺠A total of 183960 Monte Carlo simulations were performed for 584 photoelectrons in 39 elements and 315 XPS configurations. ⺠New analytical formulas are proposed for two correction parameters.
