Abstract
⺠γ-Al2O3 catalyzes CO oxidation to CO2 coupled to H2 formation. ⺠Surface hydroxyls are involved in the reaction. ⺠Linear -OH react faster than bridged -OH due to an easier condensation. ⺠Supported metal promotes the reaction through CO adsorption and spillover. ⺠Al2O3 contributes to CO oxidation in CO TPR/TPD of supported catalysts.
