Abstract
►We report a SXRD study of Fe films grown on c(2 × 2)-N/Cu(100) surface. ►At N saturation coverage, the results are compatible with a p4gm(2 × 2) symmetry. ►N atoms occupy four-fold hollow sites, Fe or Cu atoms in a clock reconstruction. ►At N subsaturation coverage we obtained a model with two surface domains. ►The two surface domains present p4gm(2 × 2) and a p(1 × 1) symmetries.
