Abstract
► Hydrogen exposures on a monolayer graphene on SiC result in hydrogen intercalation. ► The intercalation eliminates/transforms a buffer layer into a second graphene layer. ► Monolayer graphene is converted to bi-layer graphene upon the hydrogen intercalation. ► This process is shown to be reversible.
