Abstract
⺠In this study we analyze the displacement field induced by the steps on a Si(7710) surface. ⺠We determine the Si(7710) surface structure. ⺠We show that the strain-induced displacement field can be modelized by buried elastic dipoles. ⺠We obtain the stretch and torque component of the elastic dipole. ⺠We determine the step-step interaction energy.
