Abstract
⺠At 1.0 ML CO on Pt{110} forms a p(2Ã1) structure with glide line symmetry. ⺠0.5 ML CO lift reconstruction of clean surface but do not form an ordered overlayer. ⺠LEED-IV determination of adsorption geometries using only integer spots for 0.5 ML. ⺠CO on top of Pt atoms; molecular axes tilted by 22° at 1.0 ML, upright at 0.5 ML. ⺠LEED geometries are consistent with DFT.
