Abstract
► At 1.0 ML CO on Pt{110} forms a p(2×1) structure with glide line symmetry. ► 0.5 ML CO lift reconstruction of clean surface but do not form an ordered overlayer. ► LEED-IV determination of adsorption geometries using only integer spots for 0.5 ML. ► CO on top of Pt atoms; molecular axes tilted by 22° at 1.0 ML, upright at 0.5 ML. ► LEED geometries are consistent with DFT.
