We study spectra of a plasma created by the laser ablation of SrF2 targets in a vacuum and report 19 Sr I lines in the range of 1300-5000Â cmâ1 which have not been observed before. From the recorded spectra we determine the previously unknown excitation energies of 5Â g, 6Â g and 6Â h states of Sr I. We also calculate a large list of transition probabilities and oscillator strengths for Sr I in the observed spectral range. These A- and f-values are calculated using quantum defect theory which shows good agreement with the available experimental and theoretical results.
