Abstract
The problem of coherent backscattering enhancement in media with highly anisotropic scattering is considered within the scalar wave theory. A stable computational algorithm, suitable for the media of finite thickness, is formulated. Numerical simulations are performed, and the results are presented and discussed.
⺠Effective numerical schemes for the scalar RTE with PD source have been proposed. ⺠In the directions of the highest anisotropy the source function vanishes. ⺠CFSB part of the radiation is prevalent in the wings of the backscattering peak. ⺠Pointed out two basic regimes, corresponding to the case of weak and strong absorption.
