Abstract

The CD A2Δ-X2Π transition spectra under an external magnetic field are calculated based on quantum mechanical perturbation method, and the results are compared with measurements in glow-discharge plasmas. The values of the equilibrium molecular constants, Te, ωe, and Be for the A2Δ state, are determined from the comparison of the spectra under no magnetic field. The measured spectra under a field strength up to 4.0 T are well reproduced by the calculation using these molecular constants.

► CD A-X transition spectra under an external magnetic field. ► Calculated by perturbation method and measured by emission spectroscopy. ► Equilibrium molecular constants for A-state are evaluated. ► Calculated spectra well represent the experiments up to 4.0 T.
