Abstract
The pattern equations method is extended to solving the diffraction problem on a group of bodies. The problem is reduced to solving an algebraic system of equations with respect to the expansion coefficients of the scattering patterns by using a series expansion of the scattering patterns in angular spherical harmonics. The explicit (asymptotic) solution of the problem is obtained in a case when the scattering bodies are far enough from each other.
