Abstract
The effects of Li2O-ZnO-B2O3 addition on densification, microstructure and dielectric properties of X7R dielectric fired at 950 °C in a reducing atmosphere have been investigated. Combined with a mixture of Li2CO3, H3BO3 and ZnO (LZB-M), the resulting low-fire dielectric composites are more densified with a higher dielectric constant than those prepared by using a Li2O-ZnO-B2O3 glass (LZB-G). This is attributed to the high densification, large grain size and formation of a core-shell structure observed in the X7R+LZB-M dielectric composite
